For all young women who are struggling with your appearance, trying to win everyone's approval but can't, and who can't seem to fit in anywhere, this is the book for you. Everyone wants you to look and be a certain way, but God says otherwise. Mandy breaks it down in every chapter about how unique all of us are in God's eyes. We are not made to fit in, but we are made to be very different and to stand out from the crowd. First we must become beautifully broken by the world to feel beautifully complete in Christ. I really enjoyed this book. She makes a lot of sense in how to handle and deal everyday problems. How God can bless and change us if we only let Him and follow Him.
Beautifully broken helped me through a really hard time in my life, and this book was amazing. It is one of those books that gives you time to breath. I strongly suggest this book to everyone needing help through a hard time in your life.
This book was encouraging and hopeful, and I really enjoyed reading it. I like how it includes "testimonies" based on people in the Bible and many other relevant verses of Scripture. The only part I did not like was the chapter on healing. It is not true that if a person only has faith, they will be healed of any illness. I agree that it's good to keep a positive attitude and to remember that God can heal anything, but it is misguided to say that He will heal every illness in a certain way.
